Community Focus
As a nonprofit organization, we have consistently donated proceeds in excess
of operating expenses from club activities in order to assist many dog-related charities. For many years, we have
donated to the Brian Godin Memorial Scholarship Fund, which sponsors a scholarship awarded each year to a student from Fort
Bend County attending Texas A & M University's College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition, the club maintains an
ongoing library program that has donated many books and videos to the Fort Bend County library system. Once a year,
members and their dogs gather at one of the Fort Bend County libraries to participate in a breeder education day.
Among its other charitable endeavors, the Fort Bend Kennel Club regularly donates to the Canine Health Foundation
as well as to various relief funds set up to help pets left homeless in the wake of natural disasters.
